Dear Valued Patients,

I am writing to you as I feel you may have some concerns about recent press reports regarding breast implants. The reports that are currently in the news, are about a French company called Poly Implant Prosthese (PIP). This company produced sub-standard implants in the 3-4 years leading to 2010. There have been problems associated with these implants since that time.

I would like to assure you that at no time has Aria Medical Group, or indeed Dr. Vricella, ever used implants manufactured by PIP.

Cosmetic Surgery Clients of Dr. Marco Vricella and HC Marbella Hospital tell us their Stories

Marco Vricella is Director of the Aesthetic Surgery unit at HC Marbella Private Hospital, one of Europe’s most exclusive hospitals. Here, two recent clients tell their stories of how surgery has changed their lives.

Breast Augmentation
One of the most popular procedures is a breast Augmentation. Christine is a recent client; she explains, “After having four children I have always wanted to have a Breast Augmentation. I started going to the gym and began to like the look of my body, except for that one area. Nothing I did in the gym was going to change my breasts, so I finally made the decision to go for surgery. I am so pleased with the results and the service, and the after care I am receiving! I love my new body and I have Dr Vricella and his team to thank.”

Tummy Tuck & Liposuction
Kate is a 49 year old woman with three grown up children. She says,” I had a kangaroo pouch any kangaroo would have been proud of, but it was the cause of much unhappiness and depression for me. My self-confidence was practically non-existent. After the ‘tummy tuck’ and ‘lipo’ I am delighted. The surgery went so smoothly and my beautiful hospital suite was wonderful and the nursing staff were absolute angels. My body shape is now just what I wanted. Marco Vricella is a truly remarkable and gifted surgeon…. he has made my dream come true.”

What Do You Need to Know About Restylane?

June 7th, 2010 · Non-Surgical Procedures

Looking for non-surgical advancements in facial rejuvenation? Well, look no further. Since the introduction of the revolutionary filler known as Restylane, patients have had access to an injectable product range that has shown great success in achieving facial rejuvenation.

Effects of RestylaneWhile there are numerous injectable fillers on the market today, many of them have their drawbacks including allergic reactions and relatively short life spans. Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic filler that is immune to these drawbacks thanks to its unique chemical composition.

Restylane can be used for the following:

· Lip augmentation and/or enhancement
· Reducing the appearance of lines around the mouth
· Modifying nasolabial folds (under the nose) and eye through deformities
· Facial contouring of the cheeks and mouth

What is Restylane?
Produced and marketed by a company in Sweden, Restylane is a dermal filler that is made of a biodegradable hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance present in all living organisms. This natural acid provides volume and fullness to an organism’s epidermis (i.e. skin). Restylane is manufactured as a clear gel and is injected directly beneath the surface of the skin. Through the introduction of Restylane to the treatment area, the hyaluronic-based gel adds natural volume and lift resulting in smoother wrinkles and less prominent folds. What distinguishes Restylane from other dermal fillers, is the way in which it permeates the dermal tissue and naturally binds to water What is Restylane?molecules. Through this action, the modified water molecules assist in achieving and maintaining volume possessing a natural appearance. Over time, Restylane is gradually degraded by the body and dissolves without any residue or trace. Restylane treatments results are immediately visible and typically last about six months. Factors such as the patient’s age, skin type, etc., will affect how long Restylane treatment results are sustained.

Side Effects of Restylane
Restylane is safe and effective when treating moderate to severe wrinkles around the nose and mouth. However, as is the case with any cosmetic procedure or treatment, various side effects are possible. While infrequent, potential side effects associated with the use of Restylane include: redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness and moderate pain. In those instances where side effects are present, they typically dissipate within a few days.

Am I a Good Candidate for Restylane?
There are several important factors you should consider in determining whether or not any cosmetic treatment, such as Restylane, is an appropriate procedure for you. During the free consultation visit with Dr Marco Vricella, the Cosmetic Surgeon, you will be asked to fill out a Medical History Form, and Dr Vricella will talk to you about the possible side effects, ask you what you are hoping to achieve and explain in detail the likely results.

When considering Restylane, you should:

· Possess realistic expectations as to what Restylane treatments can and cannot do
· Be 18 years of age or older
· Fully understand the procedure
· Not be pregnant or breast feeding

If you would like to book a free consultation with Dr Vricella to discuss Restylane, or any other surgical or non-surgical procedures, please call 952 895 088 or email us.
