Mini Tummy Tuck (Mini Abdominoplasty)

What does it involve?

In those patients who are not a candidate for a full abdominoplasty, a mini tummy tuck can be performed which is less invasive. With this procedure the surgeon can give new tension to the skin of the lower abdomen, with a residual scar that is slightly longer than a caesarean scar but which is always well hidden as it is below the bikini line. Frequently, liposuction of the abdomen and/or the hips is performed together with a tightening of the abdominal muscles. The final result will be that of a much more tense and flat tummy.

After surgery

In the first week after surgery it is advisable to rest but from the 2nd or 3rd week the patient can resume normal activities. During this time, the patient will wear an elastic corset which helps reshape the skin and reduce the swelling.
