What does it involve?

Aesthetic rhinoplasty reshapes the bone and cartilage structure of the nose with the aim of obtaining a more refined profile and a smaller, prettier tip of the nose, thereby giving harmony to the rest of the face. The procedure is generally performed under general anaesthesia and the duration of the surgery depends on whether the whole or part of the nose needs remodelling (the bridge, the tip). In those cases where the patient also has respiratory problems, it is possible at the same time as remodelling the nose to treat the internal structures in order to improve breathing.

After surgery

At the end of the surgery, a splint is usually placed over the nose and packing is placed in the nostrils. These are both removed during the first week following surgery. Some swelling and bruising under the eyes is normal, but everything improves greatly in the following 2 to 3 weeks after surgery.
