Breast Augmentation Surgery, October 2011"I am 21 years old and I have always been very uncomfortable with the way my breasts looked. Ever since I started wearing a bra I had hated them.
As I got older my breasts grew but they didn’t seem to be growing on top - just underneath the nipple - so they looked very low and empty.
Living in Spain I found it very hard as I wasn’t able to wear the bikinis and low tops that everyone else was able to and I felt very uncomfortable sitting on the beach. I used to think “I’m too young for my breasts to be so low down” and I was so self-conscious. I used to look at everybody else to see the difference between their breasts and mine - why was I so different?
I was so self conscious about this part of my body that I used to cover myself in front of my own mother and even my boyfriend had only seen them covered by a very thick push up bra or bikini.
After a lot of thinking, I decided to go to see Dr.Vricella, even though my mum was initially against it. When I went in, he was very friendly and reassuring, as was Louise Truelove. I was very nervous but they put me at ease and explained the whole procedure to me. I told them that my mum felt unhappy about me having surgery so they insisted I came back a second time with my mum so they could explain everything to her and put her mind at rest too. The week after I went back with my mum and once she’d spoken to Dr Vricella and asked him all of her questions and explained her fears, she felt a lot better and was then able to be more supportive of my decision to go ahead with the surgery.
When I went to HC International Hospital for the pre operative tests I was surprised on how beautiful the hospital was, it was like a 5 star hotel! I met Damien Moore, Dr Vricella’s Specialist Nurse, who is lovely, and he went through everything with me again and took all the remaining doubts my mother had away.
Finally the day came round; I was very nervous but as always all the ARIA team were very helpful, friendly and reassuring. When I woke up, I was worried I’d be in a lot of pain but I must admit now that it wasn’t as bad as I thought and after the first night I was up and about and then after 3 days I was more or less back to normal.
It has been 2 months now, and I am the happiest woman on earth. I could not be happier with the results. They are very natural, and FULL of volume! Like I wanted them to be. I have finally got the breasts I wanted and really cannot wait until summer to show them off.
I am more than thrilled with the service I received and am still receiving. ARIA are a great medical team and thanks to them I have the self esteem and confidence that I didn’t have for a very long time. Also my mum, who was originally against all of this, is very happy and pleasantly shocked with the results, as she didnt think they would be so natural looking.
