Breast Augmentation & Uplift Surgery, November 2009
Having already had a brilliantly successful
upper blepharoplasty performed by Marco Vricella 2 years ago, there
was absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in returning straight to
him when I decided to have a mastopexy with breast augmentation recently.
Both he and Louise Truelove were present at my consultation, and all of my various
questions were answered both fully and reassuringly. Having had quite a weight
fluctuation over the years, and having 2 children, I was very keen to investigate
the possibility of an uplift.
As with my blepharoplasty, the care at the MHC Hospital was second to none and
Louise was with me every step of the way – from check in, to when I awoke in
the recovery room.
I can honestly say, that in my case, post-operatively there was no pain and no
bruising. There was a degree of discomfort for the first 24 hours, but nothing
more than that – I was prepared for being much more immobile (and thus banking
on my husband having to help out a lot more than sadly he needed to around the
house)!
The effect was to say the least, incredible – the day after the operation when
I was discharged from hospital I was already feeling so much more confident and
happy. I took things easy for the first week (and as Louise suggested, didn’t
drive my car at all). However into the second week it was difficult to remember
that I was supposed to be good as I felt so wonderful and full of energy.
My stitches have healed wonderfully and the scars are so unobtrusive it’s amazing.
Though I am only just over 2 weeks post-operative as I write this, I can firmly
say that I can’t wait for the Christmas parties and celebrations – of course
I can now shop for clothes that I can wear with confidence and pride which previously
did nothing for my figure at all.
I cannot praise Marco Vricella and Louise enough – next time I need another procedure
there is only one surgeon I would trust. He is an absolute genius in my book
and given me back so much confidence and happiness in my appearance that I never
expected to have again.
My only regret is that I waited so long to have this procedure!"
