Facelift and Upper/Lower Bleph, December 2008
Having made the decision to have a face list and upper & lower
eyelid Bleph, l was very excited but of course very apprehensive
about the recovery time more than the operation itself.
I would definitely
highly recommend Dr Vricella he is a fabulous surgeon, l would
say that l feel and that’s what counts – l feel 10 years younger
and look great! , l feel so much happier with how l look as my
outside matched my insides. Louise made this experience so easy
for me , she is a fantastic person to spend time with, so reassuring
and patient as l was trying so hard to sort everything out with
my very busy job.
If anyone is considering a facelift then l would
be happy to speak to them to give them any further information.
I
chose Dr Vricella and felt so completely comfortable with him,
he has this way of making you feel very special, unique and totally
safe in his hands. Louise my patient co-ordinator went far and
above the normal call of any job she is an amazing person, on
the end of the phone at all times, Louise was with me every step,
from me trying to organise dates around work, to picking me up
from the airport, taking me to the hotel, and of course at the
hospital – even so far as being with me whilst l had my operation!
again l felt confident as l knew l could contact Louise or even
Dr Vricella at any time.
I had a lovely en suite private room at
the hospital and everyone there was very friendly. The morning
of the operation Dr Vricella came to see me – by this time l
was more than apprehensive but still excited to see the new me!
Upon
waking up Louise was by my side – l was aware of a bandage around
my head but felt ok with just a bit of a dull ache, l spent the
rest of the afternoon dozing off and on, then was given some water
to sip – water has never tasted so good! I was then allowed to
shuffle to the bathroom and looked in the mirror l could see l
had a chin line!! l was delighted, my eyes were obviously a bit
gruesome to look at. I was then feeling well considering l had
just had a major operation and l slept well that night and early
next morning had a cup of
tea and toast and was ready to leave the hospital, that day
l dosed myself on anti inflammatory tablets and became aware
of my face swelling up slightly so to combat any discomfort l
had a supply of painkillers which Louise had got for me. A few
days later l went to see Dr Vricella to have my eye stitches
removed l was delighted there was very little redness, just a
couple of small black eyes which quickly faded. A further week
later l had the staples removed from my head which wasn’t as
painful as it sounds in any way.
To update my story.. although
l wouldn’t recommend this for everyone ..... l actually went
back to work 10 days after my operation, how unbelievable is
that!!! l was very lucky with my healing process and although
my face was slightly swollen l could carry on as normal.
I will
definitely have any further surgery with Dr Vricella and Louise
by my side.
