Having decided many years ago that I was not
prepared to "grow old gracefully," I decided this year
that I needed a good cosmetic surgeon as I was getting more and more
unhappy with the person looking back out of the mirror at me!!. Having
had cosmetic surgery in the UK 15 years ago to remove a double chin,
which was a family trait, I was aware of and ready again for all
that undergoing cosmetic surgery meant, but after reading many frightening
tales in the media I felt concerned about finding a Surgeon here
in Spain who I could entrust with my face. Happily though I need
not have worried, as I found Dr Marco Vricella´s details on the web
and loved what he said about his passion for beauty & creativity
in all its forms: art, architecture, nature and of course the human
body -- a true Italian !!. I sent an enquiry to The Aria Medical
Group and immediately received a phone call from Louise Truelove,
Dr Vricella´s patient co ordinator. Speaking to Louise I straight
away felt at ease with her and confident about what I was planning
and was happy to make an appointment for a consultation with Dr Vricella,
who I found was a very nice " gentle" person with a good
sense of humour. He knew almost without my saying what I wanted,
and needed, to make me feel myself again. After Dr Vricella had carefully
explained his recommended procedure I was on cloud nine when I left
his consulting rooms to think I, or he, could turn the clock back.
After
x-rays and blood tests and the longest, most professional medical
history questionnaire I have ever had before undergoing surgey, I
had my procedure a few weeks later at the Marbella HC Hospital, nervous
but with total confidence that I was in very good hands. Louise and
Aria´s head nurse, Damien Moore, could not have been more caring
and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. I, of course, felt
discomfort but no pain, even after I left hospital two days later.
A few days rest at home and now, after having the stitches out (
thank you Louise for holding my hand ! ), I am raring to go and am
thrilled with the results, which I am told will get better over the
next few months. I feel I now have a new lease of life, so a huge "grazie
mille" to Dr Vricella, and thank you
to Louise and Damien.
