"I sought desperately for gynaecomastia surgery along the Costa Del Sol and Gibraltar, and it was not long before I found Dr Marco Vricella and the Aria Medical Group. Having called to make an appointment, I was treated with respect from the beginning with regards to what had always been a sensitive topic in my life, and felt no embarrassment at any point throughout the experience, thanks largely due to their kind and understanding patient co-ordinator, Louise Truelove. From the outset, I felt confident that Dr Vricella was the man for the job, not just from the information available on the Aria website, but from the knowledge and expertise demonstrated at the first consultation, assuring me that Aria were the best choice available to me.
From this initial consultation, I was given a reasonable quotation for the surgery, and a date for which the surgery could be carried out, and in between all this, faced little hindrance in the way of fine details in getting the surgery I was most desperate for. Soon enough the time came for me to travel up to Marbella to the High Care Hospital, where again, I received a top quality service from nurses there ensuring that I was always well looked after for my brief stay. The rooms were well equipped with a TV and DVD player, as well as an en suite bathroom and motorised beds with immediate staff contact buttons, and offered large gardens and even pool facilities - in some respects, it almost seemed like a mini holiday at a top resort! I can only just remember going into the surgery room, and waking up several hours later, the whole experience seemed instantaneous, and from there on the feeling of elation that I was now free from this burden, grew.
Scarring was kept to an absolute minimum, and in some areas was barely noticeable just a month after the surgery. I was well looked after, post-surgery wise having been prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and having been seen by the Aria medical team to ensure my recovering was successful. Now that I am fully healed, the affect this surgery has had on me has been incredible; my quality of life has risen dramatically, and I am far less conscious of my appearance and far more confident and outgoing in life. I am able to do things I was previously unable to do before, out of fear of ridicule, and the joy I feel from just being able to finally be myself is indescribable.
