Having had two children via c-section I was
left with what I called “my kangaroo pouch” I hated it so much that
I didn’t let anyone see it, including my husband, and most importantly
I never talked to anyone about it, until I met Louise.
I was at the Wedding Exhibition in November 2009 and that’s where
I met my angel, Louise. For the first time in my life I opened
up to her and explained how I felt about my “Kangaroo Pouch”.
She was very reassuring and suggested that I come to see Dr Vricella
to talk about possibly having a tummy tuck.
Over Christmas, me and my husband went for our consultation with
Dr Vricella. He explained everything to me - and I mean everything!
He told me all about the operation and what to expect and most importantly
all the downsides, which I really appreciated because he wasn’t just
painting a pretty picture. After considering everything we had heard,
I booked the operation for 25th January.
On the day I was very nervous but once I saw Louise I relaxed. Next
thing I remember I was waking up and it was over. I felt scared
to move because I was worried about the pain but to be completely
honest I felt no pain. I was on a drip of pain killers and antibiotics,
but later that night I was sitting up eating and drinking.
I spent 2 days in the hospital – which is beautiful. It was the
best care I have ever had, and the nurses were fantastic. I saw Dr
Vricella and Louise, as well as Damien Moore, the Head Nurse, regularly.
I have been back for my post op follow ups - there are quite a lot
of them over the period of about a year, so that my progress can
be properly assessed, which is reassuring - and Damien and Louise
are always at the end of the phone, day or night, should I need
help.
I am now 4 weeks on and feel fantastic, already. Plus I know that
my results are only going to get better as the months go on. As
you will see from the pictures, the difference is amazing. I put
my life in Dr Vricella’s hands and I would certainly do it again
within the blink of an eye. He is “The Best”!
